KATJA FOOS painting
Katja Foos

somewhere along the line

Artist, designer, illustrator. First and foremost, however, Katja is a free spirit, an observer who finds her inspiration on journeys through Asia, in cities, in the natural world of the Black Forest or by the North Sea. She is a reader and thinker, fascinated, albeit with a degree of ambivalence, by digital visions. As a protagonist, she uses the line to capture fleeting moments, emotions, gestures, characters and stories on paper or a tablet. This ephemeral game represents a feeling of happiness that finds its counterpart in the solitude of the studio and work on a large canvas. „I draw to see,“ says Katja.

She captures these life lines in images – her own, but also her encounters and interfaces with others – and the people themselves, with their lives that touch and stimulate her. She values the explosion of creative bubbles that develop in solidarity and sympathetic controversy. Strong and straight, but with a tender gaze and concentrated on the essentials, she seeks boundaries in order to transcend them.
Hello future! Walk the line.

Hello future! Walk the line.
